ABOUT THC

What is Delta-9 THC?

THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the main psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis plants. THC interacts with the brain’s receptors to alter mood and perception, giving you that “high” feeling. “Delta-9” refers to the type of THC. You may have also heard of Delta-8 and Delta-10 THC, which are similar to Delta-9 THC but found in much smaller amounts in cannabis plants like hemp and marijuana. Generally, when people refer to THC, they are referring to Delta-9.

Is THC legal in Minnesota?

As of July 2022, products containing more than 0.3% of hemp-derived THC are legal in Minnesota for individuals 21 and over. This includes being able to purchase THC products in a variety of retail stores along with the ability to ship them to your place of residence.

Will Delta-9 THC get me high?

THC affects everyone differently, which is why we recommend following the suggested use on the packaging and seeing how you feel before having more. Consumption of THC may elevate your consciousness and give you that “high” feeling. Intensity depends on multiple factors, including dosage, metabolism and consumption method.

How long will my high last?

The duration of the experience depends on the dosage, the individual and the consumption method. Usually, you can start feeling the effects of a THC-infused seltzer within 20 minutes. For THC gummies, it can take up to an hour. Your high can last anywhere between one to two hours or longer, depending on the circumstances mentioned above.

What should I expect if it’s my first-time using THC?

You may experience an uplifted, “euphoric” feeling. Whether you’re having a THC-infused seltzer or a Delta-9 THC gummy, for first-time users, we always recommend following the suggested use on the packaging and waiting to see how you feel before having more. Our Delta-9 THC gummies are crafted with a combination of THC and CBD to enhance your consciousness and lift your mood for a great experience overall.

ABOUT CBD

What is CBD?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a nonintoxicating phytocannabinoid (a naturally occurring plant compound) found in hemp and other cannabis plants. CBD has been shown to have a variety of beneficial effects.

Will CBD get me high?

Unlike THC, another cannabinoid commonly found in marijuana, CBD does not cause a high. Full-spectrum CBD products (like ours) do contain <0.3% THC, but this amount is nowhere near enough to cause any psychoactive effects.

What’s the difference between cannabis, hemp and marijuana?

Hemp and marijuana are both cannabis plants, but they differ in THC content. Legally, a hemp plant is a cannabis plant that contains 0.3% THC or less, and a marijuana plant is one that contains more than 0.3% THC.

Is CBD legal?

Yes! CBD is a federally legal due to the fact that it contains less than 0.3% THC.

Does the source of my CBD matter?

Yes! The source of your CBD is one of the most important factors in determining whether your CBD regimen will be effective. For starters, the soil conditions used to grow the hemp plants your CBD is extracted from can set the final CBD product up for success or failure. At Verist, we choose the areas of our farm where we know the soil will be able to best nurture the right mix of cannabinoids and terpenes to produce the most therapeutic CBD. We also use clean, green, natural farming practices so no chemicals or pesticides are introduced to the crop—or into your body. But the most important differentiator in buying from a brand like Verist is the fact that our CBD comes from a single origin. This means that when you start a CBD regimen with our products, you’ll be able to experience more consistent benefits than you would with a brand who gets their CBD from a variety of different sources. When you choose a single-origin brand, you can be sure you’re getting exactly what you expect, every time.

How much CBD should I take?

To start, we recommend trying the recommended serving size marked on the package and increasing or decreasing your dose from there. Always be sure to talk with your doctor before using if you are taking any other medications.

Can I take CBD if I am on other medications?

We always recommend talking with your doctor before using CBD if you are taking any other medications.

Can I take CBD if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

The FDA strongly advises against the use of CBD in any form during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. We always recommend talking with your doctor if you have any additional questions or concerns.

I want to try CBD, but I am not sure what products are right for me. Where should I start?

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to CBD, and its effects can vary person by person. That’s why we organize our products based on how CBD can benefit you:

pain & recovery, sleep & relaxation, stress relief & clarity.

Why isn’t CBD working for me?

While CBD does affect everyone differently, it is important to follow the directions listed on the package for best results—and to continue to use it consistently, even if you don’t feel or notice results right away. It can take a while for CBD to reach its peak effectiveness.

How long does it take to feel the effects of CBD? And how long do the effects of CBD last?

It may take up to two weeks of consistently using CBD for you to feel its effects, and how long it takes you to experience effects or benefits does vary from person to person. Once you’ve established your CBD routine, it typically takes one to two hours to feel the effects of each dose—shorter for ingestible products like our oils and gummies and longer for topical products like our body butters and salve. Depending on how much is in your body, the effects of CBD can last from two to six hours.

 What is CBN?

Cannabinol (CBN) is another cannabinoid found in cannabis plants. CBN has sedative properties and is most commonly used as a sleep aid (similar to melatonin) that can help people fall asleep quicker and stay asleep longer. Additionally, CBN has been shown to help with pain management and immune system support.

How is CBN different from CBD?

CBD and CBN are both naturally occurring cannabinoids found in cannabis plants. While they interact with the same receptors in the body, CBD is non-psychoactive, while CBN can be mildly psychoactive because it's a byproduct of natural THC degradation (its effects are nowhere near as strong as THC, though). Due to its sedative properties, CBN is used mainly as a sleep aid, while CBD has a broader range of recommended uses.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

What makes Verist products premium?

At Verist, we’re committed to the quality and safety of our products. That’s why we choose the areas of our farm where we know the soil will be able to best nurture the right mix of cannabinoids for our THC products. We also use clean, green, natural farming practices so no chemicals or pesticides are introduced to the crops—or into your body. Verist products are single origin, which means that your THC always comes from the same source: our fourth-generation family farm. This ensures that you’re getting exactly what you expect, every time.

What is the shelf life of Delta-9 THC-infused gummies and seltzers?

Expected shelf life is around one to two years dependent on storage conditions such as temperature, humidity and exposure to air and light. If Delta-9 THC products are stored correctly (in a cool, dry place), they retain potency. Because of these factors, our THC-infused seltzers are packaged in glass bottles or cans with a high-performance liner to prevent THC degradation.

What do you mean by “sessionable” THC-infused seltzers?

Our Verist THC-infused seltzers have a lower potency at 3.5 mg, meaning that, depending on your tolerance, it’s possible to enjoy more than one of these low dose drinks in one sitting, or “session.”

Are Delta-9 edibles a healthier alternative to smoking marijuana?

While we don’t promote Delta-9 THC edibles as a “safe” alternative, this consumption method is popular among those who don’t enjoy the smell, feeling or effects of smoking.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Who should NOT consume Delta-9 THC?

The same is recommended if you are on a prescription medication, have a mental health disorder, a history of substance abuse, respiratory issues or a compromised immune system.

What are some common side effects of Delta-9 THC use?

Common side effects include feelings of euphoria, relaxation and enhanced sensory experiences. However, THC affects everyone differently; some other common side effects include dizziness/drowsiness, anxiety, dry mouth and an increase in heart rate. If you are unsure how THC will affect you, we recommend seeking advice from your health care provider before moving forward.

ABOUT YOUR ORDER

Do you charge for shipping and handling?

We charge a $10 flat rate for shipping and handling on purchases totaling less than $100. One reason for this is that our premium jars are heavier than standard CBD packaging, as they are made to be reused or upcycled. In addition, the natural ingredients in products such as our body butter must be kept at 75°F or lower to maintain the right consistency, so they are shipped with cold packs to retain quality.

Will I get a confirmation email for my order?

Yes. You’ll receive confirmation that the order was placed, and then another email when it is fulfilled and shipped. This email will include access to tracking information.

ABOUT VERIST

How is Verist CBD different from other brands?

The growing process is a huge part of why it makes sense to choose Verist over any other hemp brand. As a fourth-generation family farm, we’ve been farming in the same part of the Minnesota River Valley for over 130 years. Our hemp selection process is another reason. We start with genetics that provide the highest therapeutic qualities, and then we further examine and identify the phenotype with the cannabinoids and terpenes we believe will be most desirable for the body and the palate. When it comes to the extraction process, we extract full-spectrum CBD to create products that have the most potential to be beneficial. While broad-spectrum CBD or CBD isolate may be right for some people, to us it feels more like taking a vitamin rather than just eating your vegetables.

Where is Verist CBD sourced?

All Verist CBD comes from a single source: our family farm in the Minnesota River Valley, where we have been farming for over 130 years. This is important because with single-origin CBD, you’ll be able to experience more consistent benefits than you would with a brand who gets their CBD from a variety of different sources. When you choose a single-origin brand, you can be sure you’re getting exactly what you expect, every time.

Is Verist CBD sustainable?

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do here at Verist. When it comes to farming, we are fourth-generation farmers who know our soil, and we use sustainable farming practices to make sure we get the best results out of it. We also design all Verist jars and bottles to be reusable and recyclable. Check out some of our favorite ways to upcycle our containers on our blog.

Are Verist products sold in stores?

Verist products are available across a variety of retail stores. You can also order online.
